The first performances she performed in public came by a choir for children and an annual vacation spot that included karaoke. She sang in places like restaurants, churches, family gatherings, and everywhere within 30 miles of her house. Alaina was the winner of her first Southern Stars Pageant talent contest aged 8. In the following year, she won the talent competition for kids at Chattanooga's Riverbend Festival. The festival allowed her to compete on its main stage when she was 12 after she had performed there every year. In 2010, she travelled to Orlando, Florida to participate in the American Model and Talent Competition. She beat 1,500 contestants to claim the title. Alaina was a singer with the Georgia Country Gospel Association's youth group. Alaina was 12 when she made the first of her many visits to Nashville. The bar she frequented was Tootsie's bar as well as several other bars along Broadway.
